My grandfather Saeed and my father Jamal opened their first restaurant in my city Tartous in 1970 , During the war in Syria they both passed away in 2013 and the restaurant was closed.
I worked in the kitchen with my father since I was a child. I trained as a chef at the Four Seasons Hotel and Resort in Damascus, and today I have five cooking certificates.
I wanted to keep my father’s name alive through the name of his restaurant Noah’s Ark, and that is why I have named my business Noah´s Ark.
As a refugee in Norway I want to show that I am a good resource, and Noah’s Ark catering will show the Norwegian people the true taste of Middle Eastern cuisine.
